Diwali      18 Oct 2024

Diwali, also known as Deepawali, or the Festival of Lights, symbolises the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and new beginnings. It is India’s most important holiday and marks the start of the Hindu New Year.

Diwali means ‘row of lights’ in Sanskrit, the sacred language of Hinduism.

We at NPS are quite particular about celebrating all the festivals together. This time, we celebrated Diwali at a get together wherein we played games and exchanged gifts.

All employees from both English and Gujarati medium gathered together to bond, share sweets and to celebrate Diwali. It is one of the biggest festivals for Indians, celebrated with much enthusiasm and devotion, as it signifies the victory of good over evil.

The festival is celebrated by lighting up homes, businesses and community centres with candles, oil lamps and decorative lights.

Diwali is a celebration of righteousness over sinfulness, knowledge over ignorance and light over darkness. We are proud to be an organization that celebrates diversity, knowledge and distinctiveness. We have never felt more connected or supported as a team (even when we are not physically together) and this Diwali feels like a celebration of that feeling.

Wishing a very Happy Diwali to all of you!
